Quantitative MRI (qMRI) Breast Phantom-Specifically designed for MRI’s Performing Quantitative Breast Imaging
The qMRI Breast Phantom consists of an anthropomorphic set of pliable silicone shells with rigid polycarbonate internal
structures. Each is filled with a bulk solution to mimic fibroglandular tissue T1. One breast phantom is a dedicated
T1 mimic of the various breast tissues, and the other is a diffusion mimic phantom. The Breast phantom can fit into
most detection coils for breast imaging. All components are traceable to NIST, providing for accurate standardization of MRI
scanners and breast coils as well as imaging protocols and procedures.
Key Features
T1 Relaxation Mimic:- 4 layers of alternating fibroglandular and fat mimics with T1 spread (100ms-1900ms)
- 12 spheres filled with fibroglandular T1 surrounded by bulk fat mimic
- 12 spheres filled with fat mimic surrounded by bulk fibroglandular mimic
Diffusion Mimic:
- 12 tubes filled with 0, 10, 25 or 40% aqueous PVP solution to mimic diffusion
- 4 tubes filled with fat mimic
- Bulk solution is fibroglandular T1 mimic
